Tub & Shower Installation in Pierce County & South King County

Full tub and shower installs using quality 1-3 piece surround systems — the valve, the drain, the unit, and the walls, plumbed and set right. We're straight about scope: we do surround systems, not tile work. If your project is tiled, we'll happily do the plumbing rough-in and point you to a tile setter for the rest.

A plumbing company that remembers your home.

What a Surround Install Includes

The full plumbing package: new shower valve (pressure-balanced, to current code), tub or pan set level and supported, drain and overflow assembly, supply connections, and the surround walls installed sealed and square. One crew, one scope, no handoffs between trades for a standard install.

Why Surrounds Instead of Tile

Honest answer: it's a different trade. Quality 1-3 piece surrounds have gotten genuinely good — seamless looks, faster installs, no grout to maintain, and watertight by design rather than by maintenance. For a working bathroom you want done in days not weeks, it's often the smarter money. When a project really calls for tile, we do the rough-in plumbing and hand off cleanly — we'd rather tell you that than fake a trade we don't do.

Tub-to-Shower and Shower-to-Tub Conversions

Swapping a little-used tub for a walk-in shower (or the reverse for a family that needs a tub) is one of the most common versions of this job. The plumbing moves are the same core work — valve, drain relocation if needed, pan or tub, surround — and we quote it flat-rate after seeing the space.

Common Questions

Tub & Shower Installation Questions

Do you do tile showers?

No — and we say it up front rather than subbing it out quietly. We install 1-3 piece surround systems, and we do rough-in plumbing for tile projects that a tile setter finishes. You always know exactly who's doing what.

How long does a tub/shower install take?

Typically 1-2 days for a straight swap with a surround. Conversions that move the drain can run longer. We tell you the realistic timeline before we start.

Can you replace just the shower valve without redoing the walls?

Often yes — depending on access and the wall situation. Sometimes through an access panel behind the shower. That's a much smaller job and we treat it like one.

My old tub is cast iron. Is that a problem?

It's heavy and it fights back, but no — removal is part of the job. We've hauled plenty of them out of Pierce County bathrooms.

Whose surround brands do you install?

Quality units from the major manufacturers, or a unit you've picked yourself — customer-supplied is fine, and we'll flag it honestly if what you picked has a known issue.
