Common Reasons to Replace
- Persistent drip from spout or handle (cartridge wear)
- Hard-water mineral buildup choking flow
- Cracked sink, broken drain assembly, or seized stopper
- Outdated finish or style during a remodel or refresh
- Leaks at the base of the faucet (worn O-rings, sometimes whole-faucet failure)
- Shower valve cartridge that leaks past the seal (sometimes repairable, sometimes the whole valve needs replacement)
- Frozen and burst hose bib (replace with frost-free)
- Wobbly faucet that won't stay tight (mounting hardware failed)
Bring Your Own or We Supply
Customer-supplied fixtures are completely fine. Bring them home from the box store, online, or wherever you found the model you want. We install. We'll quote install-only pricing up front.
If you want us to supply, we work with quality residential brands (Moen, Delta, Kohler, Pfister, Grohe, etc.) and can match style and finish. We give you the supplied price next to the install-only price so you can compare.
Customer-supplied fixtures — warranty note: We can install fixtures you supply, but we cannot warranty the fixture itself. We warranty our labor and installation. If the product is defective, missing parts, the wrong size, or incompatible with the existing plumbing, additional parts or a replacement fixture may be needed.
What's Included in an Install
- Shut off water at fixture or main as needed
- Remove old fixture and dispose of it
- Inspect supply lines, angle stops, and connections — replace corroded shutoffs and braided supply lines if they look like they could fail soon (we ask before adding)
- Install new fixture per manufacturer instructions
- New supply lines and tape/sealants as required
- Tighten, test, and check for leaks at every joint
- Clean up and walk you through operation
Shower Valve Replacements: A Word
Shower valve replacements are more involved than they sound. Modern code requires pressure-balance or thermostatic valves to prevent scalding. If your existing valve is older than 25 years and not pressure-balanced, code requires upgrading when it's replaced. Shower valve replacement may require access through drywall, tile, or a back wall. We make the plumbing repair, but wall repair, tile repair, texture, and paint are by others unless separately written into the scope.
What's Included — and What's Not
We install fixtures and make the plumbing connections. Drywall, tile, countertop, cabinetry, and finish repair are not included unless specifically listed in the written scope. We tell you up front what wall, tile, or finish work the install is likely to require so you can plan for it.
What It Costs
Faucet swaps are flat-rate by job. Pricing depends on accessibility (pedestal sinks and tight cabinet bases take longer than open vanities), supply line condition, and whether shutoffs need replacement. Shower valve replacement pricing depends on access, code-required upgrades, and tile or wall finish considerations. Free estimates. No trip charge.
