What every check-up covers
- Fixtures. Every faucet, toilet, tub, shower and hose bib, plus the supply and drain connections we can see.
- Flow and leaks. We run each fixture and look for leaks, slow drains, running toilets and weak or uneven flow.
- Water heater. Age, condition, relief valve, venting on gas units, connections, and signs of leaking or corrosion. Your yearly flush or descale is done on one of the two visits.
- Water pressure. We test static pressure and check the pressure reducing valve if your home has one. High pressure is one of the most common causes of failed fittings and toilet fill valves.
- Shutoffs. We find and check your main water shutoff and the fixture shutoffs, and show you where the main is so you can turn the water off in an emergency.
- Leaks and water damage. Under sinks, around fixtures, at the water heater, and in any crawlspace or basement plumbing we can reach.
- Our past work. Anything we installed or repaired before is checked to make sure it is still performing.
What happens if we find something
Everything we find is written up with photos and kept on your home's file. If something needs attention, you get an option with a price, with your member discount already applied, before we leave. Repairs are not part of the check-up. We do a repair the same visit only if you approve it and the schedule allows; otherwise we book it as its own job. If nothing needs attention, you get the report and no sales pitch.
How the discounts add up
Members get 10% off labor and parts on repair and install jobs. That is our 5% repeat-customer discount plus an extra 5% for members. Members who are military, teachers, seniors or first responders add our 5% community discount, and paying cash adds up to 3% more, for up to 18% off a single job. Discounts do not apply to permits, inspection fees or third-party charges.
Who it is for
- Homeowners who want small problems caught before they turn into a leak, a backup or a failed water heater.
- Homes on hard water, where a yearly water heater flush or tankless descale protects the heater.
- Older homes with galvanized pipe, original water heaters or aging fixtures.
- Landlords and property managers. The membership covers one address, and rentals are covered when the owner or the property manager is the member.
