Bradford White at Andy's Plumbing & Drain
We install and service Bradford White water heaters in Pierce and South King County, and Bradford White tankless is a featured line for us. If you searched for a Bradford White water heater installer, this page explains what the brand offers, how the units are sold, and what we do on install day. We are a plumbing company based in Bonney Lake.
How Bradford White is sold
Bradford White's website states that its products are available exclusively through plumbing professionals. That is the reason you do not find these units on a big box shelf. It also means the installer is part of the purchase, not an add-on. The company's site has a tool to find a local plumbing pro, and you are welcome to use it to compare. If you want us to quote the job, contact us or start with the instant estimate.
The spec sheets state that Bradford White products are manufactured in America using materials and components from around the world.
Bradford White tankless: the Infiniti line
The residential gas tankless line is called Infiniti, and Bradford White lists four series. Every gas series on its site is a condensing design, and the units run on natural gas or propane.
- Infiniti GR (RTG-R-150 and RTG-R-199 models): built-in recirculation pump, indoor or outdoor installation.
- Infiniti GS (RTG-S-150 and RTG-S-199 models): the same unit without the recirculation pump, indoor or outdoor installation.
- Infiniti L (RTG-L-199-N1): indoor, with a built-in recirculation pump and STEADISET technology.
- Infiniti K (RTG-K-160-N1): indoor, the L series features without the recirculation pump.
Bradford White also sells KwickShot electric tankless units, but its site describes them as point of use heaters meant to serve one location, typically a sink. They are not a whole-home replacement for a tank. For a whole-home Bradford White tankless install, we are talking about the Infiniti gas line. The details are on our Bradford White tankless page.
Tank and heat pump models too
Bradford White is a tank brand first, and its residential site also lists gas tank water heaters (atmospheric vent, power vent, direct vent, and high efficiency eF series), electric tank water heaters in upright, lowboy, and utility styles, and AeroTherm heat pump water heaters in 50, 65, and 80 gallon sizes. We install and service those as well. Which one makes sense depends on your gas, your venting, your electrical panel, and your hot water use. Our water heater page covers repair and replacement for tank, hybrid, and tankless units.
If you are still deciding between tank and tankless, read our tank vs. tankless guide. Tankless almost always costs more up front than a tank swap, and not every home is a good candidate. If your gas line cannot support the load or your vent path is blocked, we will tell you, and we may point you to a right-sized tank or heat pump unit instead.
What our install includes
- Free in-home assessment. Incoming water temperature, gas and electrical capacity, vent path, water line condition, and mounting location.
- Sizing. We size to your peak simultaneous demand and show you the math. An undersized tankless runs cold at peak use.
- Flat-rate quote. One number before any work starts, including permits and code-required upgrades.
- Install day. We shut off the water, remove the old unit, run gas, water, and vent as needed, mount and commission the new one, and test temperature rise at your fixtures.
- Permit, inspection, and registration. We pull the permit where required, schedule the inspection, and register the warranty.
Warranty, in plain terms
Bradford White's spec sheets for the Infiniti K, L, GR, and GS list a 15 year limited heat exchanger warranty and a 5 year limited parts warranty. The warranty document adds that those periods are 15 years or 8,000 operational hours, whichever is shorter, and that the warranty is exclusive of labor and installation costs. It also does not cover problems caused by defective installation, by sediment or lime precipitate in the heat exchanger, or by water quality contrary to the written requirements. That is why proper installation and descaling matter. The warranty comes from Bradford White. You can check a unit by serial number on the Bradford White warranty and registration page on bradfordwhite.com. Our own workmanship warranty is separate.
